There are a number of local walks which can be undertaken from Key House without great equipment requirements, as well as using the house as a base for more serious expeditions.

If you are coming to visit Key House and would like to undertake one (or more) of these walks, you may like to print your own copy of the directions from here. Copies of the directions are also available on loan from the house if required.

Farmhouse Walk 45-60mins, paths: forest. Nice views, a few rises, can be muddy!
Sawmill 1-2 hours, paths: mostly flat, variable terrain.
The Monument 1.5-2 hours, paths: forest track, occasionally steep
East Lomond 1.5-2.5 hours, paths:steep hill. Amazing views, can be slippy if wet. Windy at top; take a jacket!
Loop Walk 20-30 mins, paths:flat, shady.
Waterfall Walk paths: good footing, occasional slippy patches
Pillars Of Hercules (organic food shop) 1 hour round trip (extra for shopping).
